THE ATELIER, THREE ERAS DEEP
Our atelier did not begin with diamonds. Long before Since Love was a name, it was a workshop focused on the oldest discipline in fine jewelry craft — the working of gold. It was in this work that our setters first learned what their hands were capable of.
As the Wang family expanded from natural diamond wholesale into setting work, our craftspeople began applying the precision learned in gold to an unforgiving new medium. A single prong set fractionally off can lose a diamond forever.
When lab-grown diamonds began entering the market, many workshops approached them as a new discipline. Ours did not. A diamond, to a setter of twenty years, is a diamond. The same hands, the same precision, the same two-decade standard.
The district where fine jewelry is made.
There is a phrase in the Chinese jewelry trade that anyone in the industry knows: “To see the craft of Chinese jewelry, look to Shenzhen. To see the craft of Shenzhen, look to Shuibei.”
Shuibei has become, over the last three decades, the global epicenter of fine jewelry manufacturing. A substantial share of the gold and diamond jewelry that passes through the world’s luxury supply chain is crafted — or at least touched — by hands working within a few dense square kilometers here.
It is not a tourist destination. It is a working center of craft, operated by families and masters who have made jewelry their life’s discipline. It is also where Since Love’s atelier was born.

This is a fact we are particularly proud of — and one we believe matters to anyone choosing a piece of lab-grown fine jewelry. A lab-grown diamond is a new material, but the hands setting it should not be new to diamonds.
The confidence of a two-decade setter, working with a stone whose molecular structure is identical to every natural diamond they have set before, produces pieces that simply do not carry the uncertainty of a brand whose workshop is learning as it goes.
This is why we introduce our atelier not as a new operation dressed in new language — but as a continuation. The same workshops. The same masters. A new brand, rooted in older craft.
Standards We Hold Unfailingly
Every diamond set, every metal poured, every gemstone chosen must trace to a source we can verify. No exceptions are made for cost or convenience.
Every prong is inspected under high magnification before a piece is approved. A diamond fractions of a millimeter off-center is returned to the bench.
Final polishing is done by hand. The difference between hand polish and machine polish is invisible to most eyes — and uncompromising to ours.
Our setters are compensated for their skill, not for their output speed. We do not work with workshops that treat craftsmanship as a rate-based commodity.
A network, not a factory.
Alongside our core Shuibei atelier, Since Love maintains working relationships with specialist workshops throughout the district — one of the densest concentrations of fine jewelry craftsmanship anywhere in the world.
This network allows us to commission the right master for the right piece — a micro-pavé specialist for pieces that require it, a hand-engraving workshop for pieces that call for it, a channel-setting veteran for pieces whose technique demands it.
Our ateliers have served the global fine jewelry industry for decades, under conditions of craft and precision that this district is known for. Since Love is the house that carries this craft directly to its clients — without the layers of markup and intermediary margin that traditional fine jewelry has historically required.
