Complimentary Resizing
A ring that does not fit cannot be worn. That is why we include the first resize as part of your original purchase, not as a separate paid service. Within 30 days of receipt, eligible designs can be resized up or down one ring size at no charge, and we cover return shipping within the United States. The conditions are explained below in plain language.
What Complimentary First Resize Requires
The complimentary first resize is offered subject to four conditions. All four must be met. Each one corresponds to a real operational constraint at the bench.
Within thirty days
Submit your request within thirty calendar days of receiving the piece. The clock starts when you sign for the package, not when the order was placed.
Plus or minus one size
The resize range must not exceed one full U.S. ring size in either direction. Half-size adjustments are within scope; larger changes require a paid assessment.
Resizable structure
The design must permit resizing without compromising the piece. Full-pavé bands, irregular shapes, special-craft work, and precision structures may not be safely resized.
Untouched by third parties
The piece must be in its original condition without prior resizing, repair, modification, or handling by a third-party jeweler.
Cutting, removing, soldering, refinishing
A ring resize is not a stretching operation. The shank is cut at a specific point, a precisely measured segment of metal is added or removed, and the cut is re-soldered. The joint is then planished, filed, polished, and refinished to match the rest of the band. For most plain or solitaire designs, this work is routine.
For certain designs, this work is impossible. A full-pavé eternity band has no point at which the shank can be cut without disrupting the symmetry of the stones. A precision-structure design can be calibrated so tightly to the setting that modification would compromise its structural integrity.
Resize Eligibility Checker
Answer four quick questions about your specific piece and resize request to see whether it may qualify for complimentary first resizing, require paid resizing, or need a different solution.
Four questions, one verdict
All four conditions must be met for complimentary first resizing. This guide is an initial check; our team will confirm the design and order details before you ship.
Did you receive the piece within the last thirty calendar days?
The window starts on the date you signed for delivery, not the date the order was placed.
Who pays for what, and why
For complimentary first resizing, the customer covers shipping the piece to our facility. We cover return shipping within the United States via fully insured, signature-required service. International return shipping is quoted separately based on destination.
For paid resizing — including subsequent resizes, requests outside the thirty-day window, or changes beyond one full size — the customer covers shipping in both directions. A quote is provided before work begins.
When the answer is no, regardless of when you ask
The construction of a ring determines whether it can be safely resized. Timing cannot change a structural limitation.

Please contact us with your order number and the requested size before shipping. The atelier must confirm the construction of your specific piece.
A correctly sized ring is one you forget you are wearing
The ring should slide over the knuckle with slight resistance and sit comfortably at the base of the finger. It should not pinch, leave a deep mark, or turn freely without resistance.
Measure at a normal body temperature, and repeat the measurement at different times of day. Finger size can change with temperature, activity, and fluid retention. Our Ring Sizing Guide can help you confirm the right size before requesting a resize.
How A Resize Actually Unfolds
Confirm the size and eligibility before sending your piece. Our team will provide the shipping instructions.
01 · Confirm your size
Contact us with your order number, current size, and requested size. We will check the design and help you confirm the measurement.
02 · Ship insured
Follow the supplied packing and shipping instructions. Use an insured service and retain your tracking information.
03 · Work at the atelier
Typical bench work takes three to five business days after assessment, followed by quality control and refinishing where required.
04 · Return to you
The ring returns via insured, signature-required service. Allow approximately two to three weeks overall within the United States, subject to assessment and transit.
After the first complimentary resize
The first resize within thirty days is complimentary. Subsequent resizes are quoted at our then-current repair rates, which for most standard designs are between one hundred fifty and three hundred fifty dollars depending on the specific work required, the metal type, and whether re-rhodium plating is needed. The quote is given before any work begins and is honored for thirty days.
Each resize involves cutting and re-soldering the shank. Repeated resizes on the same piece cumulatively weaken the structural integrity of the metal. We absorb the cost of the first resize as part of getting the fit right; subsequent fit adjustments are paid services.
For pregnancy-related sizing changes, weight fluctuation, or arthritis-related adjustments, our customer service team can apply a twenty percent discount below the standard paid resize rate when the situation reasonably warrants.
The legal substance
The complimentary resizing commitments described above are the customer-facing presentation of Section 17.4 of our Terms and Conditions, which is the controlling legal document for all resizing matters. In any event of conflict between this page and the Terms and Conditions, the Terms and Conditions prevail. The complimentary first resize is offered subject to the four conditions described on this page; resizes outside these conditions are quoted at our then-current repair rates.
