Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
About this document
The California Consumer Privacy Act requires every business that operates in California to make available, in clear and prominent language, a mechanism for residents to direct that their personal information not be sold or shared. The statute specifies the exact title of this mechanism — the title of this page is verbatim what the law requires.
What the statute does not specify is how meaningfully or how clearly the mechanism is presented. Most businesses comply minimally, hiding behind external consent management platforms with confusing toggles and unclear scope. We have built this page differently: a direct, on-page form that submits to a dedicated privacy team mailbox; an honest disclosure of our current practices, so that you know what you are opting out of; automatic recognition of the Global Privacy Control browser signal; and a complete process timeline so that you know exactly what to expect after submission.
If you would prefer to submit your request by email, telephone, or mail, the channels are listed in the sidebar. If you would prefer to read this page in Chinese, a translation is forthcoming. If you encounter any difficulty using the form, our Privacy Team at dnsmpi@sincelovejewelry.com will receive your request through any channel.
The California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, grants California residents three distinct rights with respect to how businesses handle their personal information. These rights are independent of one another — you may exercise any one without exercising the others, and the procedures for exercising each are set forth separately by law. We have prepared this page so that any of the three rights may be exercised on its own.
Who May Exercise These Rights
The rights described on this page are guaranteed to California residents by California state law. We honor opt-out requests submitted by California residents in compliance with the procedures of the CCPA and CPRA. Residents of other U.S. states with comparable privacy laws — including Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Iowa, Indiana, Tennessee, Florida, Delaware, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Minnesota, Maryland, Rhode Island, Kentucky, and others — may also use this page to submit equivalent requests under their state laws; we treat such requests under the protections most favorable to the requester.
Special Protection for Minors
Under California law, we may not sell or share the personal information of any consumer we know to be under sixteen (16) years of age without affirmative opt-in consent from the consumer themselves (if between thirteen and fifteen) or from the consumer's parent or legal guardian (if under thirteen). For minors, the default position is opt-out. No request through this page is required to exercise this protection — it applies automatically.
Before completing the form below, you should know what we currently do with personal information. The most direct answer is the simplest one: at present, Since Love Jewelry does not sell personal information, does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and does not use sensitive personal information for purposes from which you may opt out under the CCPA. The form on this page exists not because we currently engage in these practices, but to give you a permanent, prominent mechanism through which to record your preferences in case our practices ever change.
A Transparent Position
Like most modern e-commerce businesses, Since Love Jewelry uses advertising and analytics technologies to understand how clients discover us, to measure campaign performance, to deliver relevant advertising on the platforms our clients already use, and to retarget visitors who have shown interest in particular pieces. We disclose this directly rather than hide behind technical definitions. Whether or not these activities constitute a "sale" under California law — we believe they do not, because we receive no monetary consideration — many of them clearly constitute "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising as the CPRA defines that term, and may constitute "targeted advertising" under comparable laws in Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and other states.
Advertising and Analytics Partners
We work with the following categories of partners. The list is not exhaustive, but identifies the principal recipients of personal information for advertising and measurement purposes:
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram). Meta Pixel, Conversions API, and Custom Audiences for ad delivery, conversion measurement, and retargeting on Facebook and Instagram.
- Google. Google Ads, Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Floodlight, and YouTube tags for campaign measurement, conversion tracking, audience definition, and remarketing across the Google network.
- TikTok. TikTok Pixel and Events API for ad delivery, conversion measurement, and audience targeting on TikTok.
- Pinterest. Pinterest Tag and Conversions API for ad delivery and measurement on Pinterest.
- Shopify Marketing Integrations. Native Shopify tracking and the marketing integrations we have enabled within Shopify for first-party analytics, abandoned-cart recovery, and email campaign attribution.
- Other measurement and attribution providers. Additional analytics, attribution, fraud-prevention, and customer-engagement vendors as disclosed in our Cookie Policy and Privacy Policy.
Categories of Information Disclosed for Advertising
The personal information made available to advertising and analytics partners typically includes online identifiers (cookie IDs, advertising IDs, hashed email addresses where you have provided one), device and browser information, IP address and approximate geolocation, page-view and product-view activity, cart and checkout events, purchase events, advertising interaction data (clicks and impressions), and campaign attribution parameters. We do not transfer government-issued identifiers, account passwords, or contents of customer-service correspondence to advertising partners.
Ongoing Transparency
The list of advertising and analytics partners above represents our practices as of the Effective Date of this page. Modern advertising operations evolve — new measurement vendors are introduced, existing partners are deprecated, and platform features change. We update this page, our Cookie Policy, and our Privacy Policy to reflect material changes. If a change materially expands the categories of personal information made available for advertising or introduces a partner of a fundamentally different category from those listed above, we will increment the version number of this page and notify clients with active accounts by email. Your existing opt-out preference remains in effect through any such change — new partners are bound by your existing opt-out from the moment they are added.
The form below allows you to submit a Do Not Sell or Share request directly to our Privacy Team. Required fields are marked with an asterisk. We use the information you provide solely to verify the request, locate any personal information associated with your identity, and confirm completion. Submitting the form does not require you to create an account, and we will not use the information you provide for any purpose unrelated to processing your request.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
The Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information is a separate right introduced by the California Privacy Rights Act, distinct from the Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing. It applies specifically to enumerated categories of personal information that California considers sensitive, and it allows you to direct a business to use those categories only as necessary to provide the goods and services you have specifically requested.
Categories of Sensitive Personal Information
Under California law, "sensitive personal information" includes the following enumerated categories. We have indicated which categories Since Love Jewelry collects and the necessary purposes for which we use them.
- Account log-in credentials and passwords. Collected for authentication of your Since Love account and the security of your transactions. Necessary use only; not used for any other purpose.
- Government-issued identification. Collected only when required for high-value transaction verification, fraud prevention, or international shipping customs clearance. Retained only until verification is complete, then deleted within thirty days.
- Precise geolocation. Collected only with your express opt-in consent for features such as nearest-boutique discovery. We do not use precise geolocation by default and we do not retain precise geolocation history.
- Contents of mail, email, and text messages. Collected as part of customer service correspondence. Used solely to respond to your inquiry; not used for marketing or any other purpose.
- Categories we do not collect. We do not collect racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, biometric information for unique identification, genetic information, sexual orientation, or health information. The Right to Limit therefore does not apply to these categories because we do not hold them.
The Global Privacy Control (GPC) is a browser-level signal that automatically communicates a consumer's intent to opt out of the sale and sharing of personal information. The California Attorney General has formally recognized GPC as a valid technical mechanism for exercising opt-out rights under the CCPA, meaning that businesses are required to honor GPC signals as if the consumer had submitted an explicit opt-out request through a form. We honor GPC, and we have built signal recognition directly into this page.
How GPC Recognition Works
When your browser loads this page, our site reads the navigator.globalPrivacyControl property. If the property is set to true, we treat your visit as an active opt-out request and we apply the same protections as we would to a request submitted through the form. The detection is performed on every visit because GPC is a per-visit signal, not a one-time consent. If you disable GPC and visit again without it, your prior opt-out preference recorded through the form remains in effect; the GPC signal is additive, not a replacement.
Browsers That Support GPC
GPC is supported natively by Brave, DuckDuckGo, Mullvad, and several privacy-focused browsers. It is supported through extensions for Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari. The signal is also automatically transmitted by Disconnect, Privacy Badger, and similar privacy extensions. The independent resource at globalprivacycontrol.org maintains current setup instructions for each browser and extension.
After you submit the form, your request enters our privacy request processing queue. We have committed to a response timeline that exceeds CCPA's legal requirements. The timeline below describes what you can expect at each stage.
Right to Appeal
If you believe we have failed to honor your opt-out request properly, you may submit an appeal by replying to our substantive response email or by writing to dnsmpi@sincelovejewelry.com with the subject line Appeal — [Reference Number]. Appeals are reviewed by our Privacy Lead and an external advisor independent of the original processing team. We will respond to appeals within fifteen business days of receipt.
Right to Complain to a Regulatory Authority
If you remain unsatisfied with our handling of your request after appeal, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the California Privacy Protection Agency at cppa.ca.gov or with the Office of the California Attorney General at oag.ca.gov. Pursuing regulatory complaint does not preclude continued direct communication with our team, and we welcome ongoing dialogue throughout any external review.
