Accessibility Statement
About this document
Most accessibility statements we have read are written in the tone of legal disclaimer — short, vague, defensive. We have written this one differently. The pages that follow describe what we have built, what we have not yet built, and what we will do when a client tells us we have got something wrong.
Accessibility, like craftsmanship, is a discipline of attention. The same care we give to setting a stone, to grading a diamond, to writing a bench note — that care extends to the alt text on a product image, the contrast ratio of a button, the keyboard path through a checkout. None of these is decorative. All of them are part of the same answer to the same question: can the client we are serving actually see, hear, and choose what we are offering them.
If you would prefer this Statement in another format — large print, plain text, ASL video translation — please contact our accessibility team at accessibility@sincelovejewelry.com and we will provide it.
Luxury has historically been an industry that designed for the able-bodied client and treated accessibility as an afterthought. We have chosen a different position. Since Love Jewelry believes that the experience of choosing a piece of fine jewelry — the act of looking, considering, asking, deciding — should be available to every client who comes to us, regardless of how they read, navigate, hear, or move through the world. Inclusive design is not a checkbox we tick; it is the standard against which we measure our website, our boutique, our customer service, and our communications.
Scope of This Statement
This Accessibility Statement applies to sincelovejewelry.com, our customer account portal, our marketing emails, our virtual consultation service, and our boutique in Beverly Hills. It also describes the accommodations available through our private-channel sales conducted via WhatsApp, WeChat, telephone, and direct email. The standards and procedures described herein are operational commitments of SoarNet LLC, the entity operating the Since Love Jewelry brand under license.
Accessibility law in the regions we serve does not specify a single technical standard, but the international consensus has settled on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) published by the World Wide Web Consortium. We have adopted WCAG 2.1 at the AA level as our principal benchmark, supplemented by jurisdiction-specific standards where they apply.
Primary Standard: WCAG 2.1 Level AA
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1, conformance level AA, is the standard adopted by United States courts in Robles v. Domino's Pizza, Gil v. Winn-Dixie, and subsequent cases interpreting Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act. It is also the standard incorporated by reference in California Government Code §11135, Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, and the European harmonized standard EN 301 549. By aligning to a single standard adopted by all of these jurisdictions, we provide a consistent experience for clients regardless of where they are located.
European Conformance: EN 301 549
The European Accessibility Act (EAA), in force since June 28, 2025, requires that consumer-facing e-commerce services made available to clients in the European Union conform to the harmonized European standard EN 301 549. The relevant requirements of EN 301 549 are substantially identical to WCAG 2.1 AA for web content. Our conformance to WCAG 2.1 AA therefore also satisfies the technical requirements of the EAA for our website. We have additionally retained the right to commission a separate EN 301 549 conformance assessment as our European client base grows.
Chinese Conformance: GB/T 37668
For clients in the People's Republic of China, we observe the principles of the Chinese national standard GB/T 37668-2019 Information Accessibility Requirements for Web Content, which is itself derived from WCAG. Our private-channel sales communications via WeChat are designed to be readable through standard Chinese-language screen readers and to support text scaling within the WeChat application.
The most honest answer to "is this website accessible" is rarely a simple yes. Web content evolves continuously; new pages introduce new issues; third-party tools change behavior. We therefore do not claim absolute conformance. We disclose our current conformance level, our most recent audit date, and our scheduled next audit, so that any visitor or auditor can independently assess our position.
What Substantial Conformance Means
"Substantial Conformance" means that the website meets the majority of WCAG 2.1 AA success criteria across the most-trafficked pages and core purchase flows, with discrete known limitations that we have catalogued and committed to remediate within disclosed timeframes. It is the position adopted by Cartier, Tiffany & Co., and other reputable luxury houses that have published accessibility statements, and it represents an intentional choice to disclose imperfection rather than make absolute claims that no living website can sustain.
Why We Do Not Claim Absolute Conformance
An absolute claim of "fully conformant" or "100% accessible" exposes the maker to legal claims for any deviation, however minor. More importantly, such claims are typically untrue. New product photography, new editorial content, new third-party integrations all introduce potential accessibility regressions that may not be detected immediately. We prefer to commit to continuous remediation through our annual audit cycle, weekly automated scans of key pages, and the feedback channels described in Section 8.
The features below describe the accessibility capabilities currently implemented on sincelovejewelry.com. The list on the right describes capabilities we have committed to introduce within the next twelve months, paired with target dates. Both lists are revised quarterly and updated through this Statement.
Implemented Features
- ✓Keyboard navigation for all primary purchase flows including product browsing, configuration, checkout, and account management.
- ✓Visible focus indicators using a 2px Antique Gold outline that remains clearly visible against all background colors in our design system.
- ✓Color contrast ratios meeting or exceeding WCAG 2.1 AA on body text (4.5:1 minimum) and large text (3:1 minimum) across the site.
- ✓Semantic HTML structure with proper heading hierarchy, landmark regions, and document outlines that support screen reader navigation.
- ✓Form labels and ARIA attributes on all input fields, with inline error messages and validation feedback that screen readers announce.
- ✓Resizable text up to 200% without loss of functionality, content, or horizontal scrolling on supported devices.
- ✓Skip-to-content links at the top of each page for keyboard and screen reader users.
- ✓No reliance on color alone to convey information; color is always paired with text labels, icons, or patterns.
- ✓Reduced motion support through honoring the
prefers-reduced-motionmedia query for transitions and animations.

In the interest of transparency that exceeds what is legally required, the following is a complete list of known accessibility limitations on our website as of the Effective Date of this Statement. Each is paired with a remediation commitment and target date. We update this list as items are resolved or as new issues are identified.
- Legacy product imagery alt text. A subset of older product photographs in the loose-stone catalogue carry generic alt text such as "diamond" rather than descriptive alt text covering carat, cut, color, and clarity grade. Remediation: full alt text rewrite scheduled for Q3 2026.
- Editorial video without captions. Approximately fifteen editorial and behind-the-scenes videos produced prior to 2026 do not yet carry closed captions in English or Chinese. Remediation: full captioning of legacy video library scheduled for Q4 2026.
- PDF document remediation. Certain downloadable PDF documents, including older versions of legal policies and downloadable lookbooks, have not yet been remediated to PDF/UA conformance and may not be fully navigable with screen readers. Remediation: PDF/UA conformance for all current PDF documents scheduled for Q3 2026.
- Custom CAD viewer. Our 3D CAD rendering viewer used during custom commission consultations is currently mouse and touch driven. Keyboard navigation and screen reader narration of CAD geometry are technically complex and not yet implemented. Mitigation: clients using assistive technology may schedule a video consultation in which our designer narrates the CAD verbally and proposes alternatives. See Section 7.
- Embedded social media content. Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok embeds in our editorial features inherit the accessibility characteristics of the source platform. We have limited ability to remediate accessibility issues within third-party embeds. See Section 6 for our approach.
- Live chat platform. Our live customer service chat tool is provided by a third-party vendor whose product accessibility we monitor but do not directly control. Where the chat interface presents barriers, clients may reach our team via the alternative channels listed in Section 7.
- Currency converter and gold-price ticker. Real-time price elements update without an explicit live region announcement, which may not be detected by all screen readers. Remediation: ARIA live regions for all dynamic price elements scheduled for Q1 2027.
Modern websites integrate content and services provided by third parties — payment processors, social media embeds, analytics, customer service tools, video players. The accessibility of those components is in the first instance the responsibility of their providers. We hold our vendors accountable through the practices described below, but we cannot independently guarantee conformance for content we do not author.
Vendor Selection Criteria
When evaluating new third-party tools for our website, we include accessibility conformance as a procurement criterion. We request a current Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR), commonly delivered as a Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT), from candidate vendors. Where two vendors are otherwise comparable, we select the one with the stronger demonstrable accessibility posture.
Embedded Social Media
Editorial features on sincelovejewelry.com may include embedded content from Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest, or Vimeo. The accessibility characteristics of these embeds — including keyboard navigability, screen reader behavior, and caption availability — are determined by the source platform. We provide context, attribution, and alternative text descriptions adjacent to each embed wherever possible, and we offer text-only alternatives for editorial features that depend heavily on social media content.
External Links
Where our website links to external resources — partner publications, regulatory authorities, industry organizations — we cannot guarantee the accessibility of those external sites. We attempt to link only to sources that themselves maintain reasonable accessibility practices.
A website is one of many ways to engage with Since Love Jewelry. If a feature of our site presents a barrier you have not been able to work around, you have not lost the option to purchase, consult, or be served. The same products, the same advisors, the same care are available through the alternative channels below. We commit to providing meaningfully equivalent service through any of these channels — not a stripped-down workaround, but the full attention of our team.
Requesting Specific Accommodations
If you have a specific accommodation need that is not covered by the channels above — for example, large-print catalogues, braille pricing summaries, ASL interpretation for boutique visits, or any other arrangement — please contact our accessibility team at accessibility@sincelovejewelry.com. We will arrange the accommodation at no charge to you, generally within five business days of the initial request.
Accessibility is a continuous practice, sustained through ongoing communication between the people who design our digital experiences and the people who use them. We rely on our clients to tell us what is working and what is not. Reports received through the channels below are reviewed weekly and are an important input into our quarterly accessibility planning cycle.

Audit Partner
Our annual third-party accessibility audit is conducted by an independent consultancy specialized in luxury e-commerce conformance. The auditor for our forthcoming Q3 2026 audit will be announced through this Statement upon engagement. The audit findings, including any failed success criteria, the remediation plan, and the audit completion date, will be incorporated into Section 3 (Current Conformance Level) following completion. Past audit reports are available upon written request to our accessibility team.
Response Commitment
We commit to the following response standards for accessibility communications. Acknowledgment within two business days of receipt. Substantive response within ten business days, including either a description of remediation taken or a clear timeline for remediation. Accommodation arrangement within five business days for individual accommodation requests under Section 7. Escalation to our Privacy Lead and external counsel for any report alleging a failure to provide reasonable accommodation, with response from leadership within fifteen business days.
External Resources and Dispute Resolution
If you have communicated with our accessibility team and believe your concern has not been adequately addressed, you may pursue external resolution through one of the following channels. For complaints arising under the Americans with Disabilities Act, you may contact the United States Department of Justice Civil Rights Division at ada.gov. For complaints under California state accessibility law, you may contact the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing at calcivilrights.ca.gov. For complaints arising under the European Accessibility Act in connection with services provided to clients in the European Union, you may contact the relevant national enforcement authority in your member state. Pursuing external resolution does not preclude continued direct communication with our team, and we welcome ongoing dialogue throughout any external review.
