Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
Last Updated: September 24, 2026
We do not sell your personal information for money. We do use advertising technologies that certain privacy laws treat as a “sale” or “sharing”. This page explains what that means and gives you two ways to opt out — both free, and neither affecting the price you pay or the service you receive.
1. In short
Since Love Jewelry does not sell your personal information for money, and never has. We do, however, use analytics and advertising technologies that — under the privacy laws of California and several other jurisdictions — may be treated as a “sale” or a “sharing” of personal information for targeted advertising.
Route one
Turn off advertising cookies
Opens our cookie preference centre. Switch off the targeting and advertising category and confirm. Applies to the browser and device you are using now, and takes effect immediately.
Route two
Submit an opt-out request
Covers personal information held in our records — your email address, order history and profile — across every browser and device, and remains in effect until you tell us otherwise.
If your browser or extension sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a valid opt-out for that browser automatically — you do not need to do anything else there.
2. Who this page is for
This page is available to everyone, and we will honour a request wherever you live. A legal right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, or of targeted advertising, currently exists for residents of California under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended, and for residents of a growing number of other U.S. states, including Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Delaware, Nebraska and Maryland.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, advertising technologies are set only where you have given consent. You may withdraw that consent at any time through the cookie preference centre, with the same effect as an opt-out.
3. What “sale” and “sharing” mean here
These terms have a broader meaning in privacy legislation than in everyday use, and it is worth being precise about what we do and do not do.
| Term | What it covers | Our practice |
|---|---|---|
| Sale | Disclosing personal information to a third party in exchange for money or other valuable consideration | We do not exchange personal information for payment. Some interpret the use of third-party analytics and advertising tools as a “sale” where the provider may use the data beyond narrowly providing its service to us — even where we pay them rather than the reverse. You may opt out of that activity here. |
| Sharing | Disclosing personal information to a third party for cross-context behavioural advertising — that is, advertising based on your activity across different websites | We do this to show relevant advertising for our collections on search, social and display platforms. You may opt out here. |
| Targeted advertising | The equivalent term used in several state laws for advertising selected on the basis of activity across unaffiliated sites | The same activity as above, and the same opt-out applies. |
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16 years of age.
4. What is involved
Where advertising technologies are active, the categories of personal information that may be shared with advertising and analytics partners are:
- Identifiers — IP address, cookie and device identifiers, mobile advertising identifiers, and in some cases a hashed version of your email address used for audience matching;
- Internet and network activity — pages and products viewed, searches, clicks and time on site;
- Commercial information — items saved or purchased, and the fact that a browser visited pages associated with a particular category or price range; and
- Approximate location — derived from your IP address, used to serve region-appropriate advertising.
The purpose is to show advertising for our collections to people likely to be interested, to limit how often the same advertisement is shown, and to measure whether a campaign led to a visit or a purchase. We do not disclose the contents of your appointments, your design briefs, your payment details or your certificates to advertising partners.
5. How to opt out
Route one — advertising cookie preferences
- Open the cookie preference centre using the button in section 1, or the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer of any page.
- Select the targeting and advertising category and switch it off.
- Confirm your choice. The change takes effect immediately.
Because this preference is stored in a cookie, it applies only to the browser and device you are using. If you clear your cookies, use private browsing, or switch browser or device, please repeat the steps there.
Route two — opt-out request
To apply an opt-out to the personal information we hold in our records, rather than to a single browser, submit a request through our privacy request form or email support@sincelovejewelry.com with “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” in the subject line. Please include the email address associated with your account or orders so that we can locate your records.
We do not require you to create an account to submit a request, and we will not ask for more information than is necessary to act on it.
Browser signals
Where your browser or a browser extension transmits a recognised opt-out preference signal — including Global Privacy Control — we treat it as a valid request to opt out of the sale and sharing of personal information for that browser, and no further action is needed.
6. Authorised agents
You may appoint someone to submit an opt-out request on your behalf. We will ask for written proof of that authorisation, and we may contact you directly to confirm that you have given it, except where the agent holds a valid power of attorney.
7. Verification and timing
An opt-out request does not require us to verify your identity to the same degree as a request for access or deletion. We will act on a request as soon as we are reasonably able to, and in any event within the period required by applicable law — 15 business days for opt-out requests under California law, and comparable periods elsewhere.
Where required by applicable law, we will also notify the advertising and analytics partners to whom personal information was disclosed in the 90 days before your request, and instruct them not to sell or share it further.
If we are unable to act on a request — for example because we cannot locate any record matching the details provided, or because the request appears to be fraudulent — we will tell you why.
8. What happens after you opt out
- You will still see advertising for Since Love and for other brands. It will be contextual or general rather than based on your activity across other websites.
- Our Site will continue to work normally. Strictly necessary cookies remain active so that the shopping bag, checkout, account areas and security continue to function.
- You will still receive service communications relating to your orders, deliveries, appointments, repairs and warranty claims. These are not marketing and are unaffected.
- Marketing email and text messages are separate. To stop those, use the unsubscribe link in any email or reply STOP to a text message, as described in our Privacy Policy.
- There is no penalty. We will not deny you goods or services, charge a different price, offer a different quality of service, or exclude you from promotions because you exercised this right.
An opt-out made through the preference centre remains in place for that browser until its cookies are cleared. An opt-out submitted through a request remains in place until you ask us to change it.
9. Your other privacy rights
Opting out of sale and sharing is one of several rights that may be available to you. Depending on where you live, you may also request access to the personal information we hold, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, a portable copy, or limits on certain processing — and you may appeal a decision we make.
Full details, including the categories of personal information we collect and the purposes for which we use them, are set out in our Privacy Policy. How cookies and similar technologies work on our Site is explained in our Cookie Policy.
